Preparation of Manuscript

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions from scholars and practitioners in the field of management sciences. Manuscripts should be original, unpublished works that contribute significantly to the field. Authors are encouraged to review our detailed submission guidelines and ethical policies available on our website.

Terms of Submission

Papers must be submitted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration by another journal. The submitting/corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other co-authors. In the case of more than one author of a paper for every additional author, his/her contribution for the paper needs to be defined. There is no page limit. Authors who want to submit us, they need to check our Publication Ethics before submission. All enquiries concerning the publication of accepted papers should be addressed to editor

Submission Checklist/Desk Review

All manuscripts are reviewed first by an editor called (Desk Review). All authors need to follow the following checklist before submission. In Desk Review the paper is checked for the following five points.

1) Plagiarism Reports should not be more than 17% (Turnitin).

2) Does paper fall under Journal Scope.  (Aims and Scope)

3) Journal only consider MS word file submission; pdf files are not acceptable.

4) Paper is submitted with condition that it has not been published earlier or not under consideration in any other journal.

In case of failure of the above checklist, paper is desk rejected and does not process further. If a paper passes the above check list, it will be further forward for the following review process.

Review Process

Every article is first read by one of the Editors. If the article meets the general expectations of a scholarly article, it is usually sent out to two blind reviewers. It can then be accepted, resubmitted with attention to the reviewer(s)’ comments, or rejected. If two reviewers have widely different conclusions on the acceptability of the article, it is sent to an additional reviewer, or a decision is taken by the Editorial Team.

In case a paper passes the Desk Review, it is further processed for double blind review to qualified reviewers. The Paper will be reviewed by two reviewers blindly. For acceptance, it is important to have at Least two positive reviews for the paper. Decisions will be made as rapidly as possible, and the journal strives to return reviewers’ comments to authors within one month. The editorial board will re-review manuscripts that are accepted pending revision.

Style of Manuscripts

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise and grammatically correct English (with 10 font size and Times New Roman font style) so that they are intelligible to the professional reader who is not a specialist in any particular field. Manuscripts that do not conform to these requirements and the following manuscript format may be returned to the author prior to review for correction. The entire manuscript, including references, should be typed single spaced on one side of the paper. All pages should be numbered consecutively starting from the title page. The manuscript should be presented in the following order.

Types of Publications:

NICE Research Journal welcomes all types of research manuscripts; however, before submitting an article, authors must ensure that their presented research has not previously been published or is under consideration for publication with any journal. If duplicate submissions are identified, the journal's ethics committee will take action.

The main article types are as follows:

  • Research Article (NICE Research Journal considers all manuscripts containing original empirical and theoretical research with a word limit of 10,000, having 3-4 figures, 3-4 tables and approximately 100 references. The manuscript's abstract should be between 250-300 words in structured form with 6-7 keywords.
  • Review Article (NICE Research Journal encourages scholars to submit review articles with a word limit of 10,000, having 3-4 figures, 3-4 tables and approximately 100 references, that contribute to the development of theory and people management at workplace. A diversity of review research techniques are welcome, providing the article makes an explicit conceptual contribution, pointing out or suggesting new research avenues.
  • Brief Report (This article category is limited to 2,000 words, and the abstract should be no more than 150 words. There should be no more than two figures or tables and 50 references).
  • Conceptual Paper (This paper category covers philosophical discussion, by focusing on development of hypotheses through comparative studies of other’s work and thinking, with a word limit of 8000-10000, having 3-4 figures, and 3-4 tables with approximately 100 references).
  • Case Studies (NICE Research Journal also welcomes single and multiple case studies, with a word limit of 5000-7000 words, with 2-3 figures and 2-3 tables with approximately 100 references).

Title and Authorship Information

1) Title should be a brief phrase (capitalize first letter of each word in the title) describing the contents of the paper.

2) Title Page should include the information about the authors with the following details:

3) Author name

4) Author affiliation

5) Author email address (Institutional email address preferred)

6) ORCID (all authors must provide their ORCID individually)

7) The corresponding author also provides phone and fax number

Abstract

All manuscripts should not exceed 200-300 words in structured form by following the given format below:

  • Purpose
  • Design/Method/Approach
  • Findings/Results
  • Originality
  • Research Implications

The abstract should also describe the scope, hypothesis or rationale for the work and the main findings. Complete sentences, active verbs, and the abstract should be written in the past tense. Standard nomenclature should be used, and abbreviations should be avoided. No literature should be cited.

Keywords

Key words (5-7 words) should be provided below the abstract to assist with indexing of the article. These should not duplicate key words from the title.

Classification Codes

The Journal of Economic Literature established the "JEL" classification system, which is a common practice for grouping academic works in the field of study. NICE Research Journal suggests that the primary JEL codes pertaining to the particular study be disclosed.

Abbreviations

Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

Introduction

This section should include sufficient background information, provide a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, and the proposed approach or solution and the knowledge gap. The aims of the manuscript should be clearly stated. The introduction should not contain either findings or conclusions. It should be understandable to colleagues from a broad range of scientific disciplines.

Materials and Methods

This should be complete enough to provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be repeated by others. However, only truly new procedures should be described in detail; previously published procedures should be cited, and important modifications of published procedures should be mentioned briefly. Capitalize trade names and include the manufacturer's name and address. Subheadings should be used. Methods in general use need not be described in detail.

Results

Results should be presented in a logical sequence in the text, tables and figures; repetitive presentation of the same data in different forms should be avoided. The results should not contain material appropriate to the Discussion. It should be written in the past tense when describing findings in the authors' experiments. Results should be explained, but largely without referring to the literature. NICE Research Journal encourage the use of up-to-date statistical software for data analysis, i.e., Smart PLS, AMOS, MPlus and STATA.

Discussion

The discussion should consider the results in relation to any hypothesis advanced in the introduction and place the study in the context of other work. Results and discussion sections can be combined. Scholars provide a comprehensive detail about the acceptance/rejection of hypotheses with support the arguments with earlier studies. Scholars also provide in a comprehensive manner theoretical and practical contributions, along with research limitations with future research directions. NICE Research Journal encourages scholars for original and to the point arguments in discussion instead of extensive use of  citations in discussion with published literature.

Conclusions

If an optional conclusion section is used, its content should not substantially duplicate the abstract.

Acknowledgment

The acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc. should be brief.

Author contributions

For transparency, NICE Research Journal requires corresponding authors to provide details of contributions of each co-author using CRediT’s 14 Contributor Roles. Fourteen different roles are available at https://credit.niso.org/ to describe the contribution of each author about scholarly output.

1) Conceptualization

2) Data curation

3) Formal analysis

4) Funding acquisition

5) Investigation

6) Methodology

7) Project administration

8) Software

9) Resources

10) Supervision

11) Validation

12) Visualization

13) Writing – original draft

14) Writing – review & editing
